Welcome to UOAlive! Here we strive to maintain a peaceful, happy, fun, and safe environment. While we try and maintain a world that is 100% OSI accurate (Official Ultima Online servers), we have made many improvements for your enjoyment. Some of the most notable are as follows:

• We offer all expansions and worlds enabled free of charge!
• There is no Open World PvP in UOAlive. Anything you wish to participate in (which is limited to an arena or consensual Guild Wars) will be optional. Embrace controlled battles with our instanced arena duals, including 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 options, along with the ability to engage in loot-free guild wars—all agreed upon through in-game mechanics before any encounter. Additionally, you can even turn off looting of your own corpse by guild members in any guild you join. If you love PvP it should not be about the loot but the experience or for RP purposes.
• Is your character portrayed as an evil person? Want that red name that harkens you back to the "good old days"? The Magincia Stone exchange has a red potion for sale!
  • Plus all restrictions that came from having being red/murderer have been removed to allow for roleplay
• INSTANCED LOOT for ALL PLAYERS!!!! No longer do you have to hurry to the corpse in fear of missing out on that sweet sweet loot!
• Custom Taming System!!! At UOAlive we have a wide variety of animals and monsters that you can tame! From the simple bear to the ferocious murder bear, there are some monsters and animals that can spawn as more powerful versions (rare/exotic/legendary). There are also some animals/monsters that you must prove yourself before they will show themselves to further test you (custom spawns) (Rare pets, rare spawns)!

• No stamina loss in towns or your house for shoving through other players/npcs. So you can hit the gym less and adventure more!
• Gone is the frustration of trying to flee (or strategic regroup) from a monster and getting stuck on someone's house steps. Monsters and players can enter ALL houses. Doors, gates, and teleporters can still be set to friends only so you still maintain a secure home.
• No longer will your recalls, gates, or any other type of travelling be blocked by someone on the location of your rune!
  
  
  
  
  
  • Speaking of travel... The Mark Spell and Scrolls require NO magic ability to use! So get some scrolls and enjoy marking your way around the world for free!
  • Needing to get from Felucca to Trammel or vice versa really quickly? Moonstones drop at the Magincia Stone Exchange to easily traverse from Felucca to Trammel without magic. Just pick them up off the ground!
• There is a custom system on UOAlive called "Secondary Skills" and these skills do not go towards your 720 skill point cap. Out hunting and see that nice juicy tree asking to be cut down? Have no fear with Lumberjacking as a secondary skill you can have it on your fiercest warrior! The following are considered Secondary Skills:

• Skill gain is quick so you get more time to adventure in the world and less time macroing a skill up for a more organic experience.
  • Don't worry quick skill gain will not deter your new player experience as this ERA is very item dependent so at 100 skill you will still need good gear to survive!
• Here at UOAlive we have a system in place called New Player Companion (NPC). These are people dedicated to assisting new players to UOAlive. They serve a vital role in the welcoming and assisting new players in-game. These volunteers receive no special treatment, items, or abilities and are solely focused on helping new players.
• Say goodbye to the frustration of finding the right resurrection point. We have an updated resurrection system where you can choose to resurrect at the corpse summoner, your house, and even Surveyor John's Campsite. Conveniently resurrect at these designated locations with ease.

• • Tracking Arrow for Healers: Need to find the nearest healer? We've got you covered! If you find yourself outside of a dungeon, you can now rely on the tracking arrow to guide you to the closest wandering healer. No more wandering aimlessly in search of healing support, if you choose to walk amongst the dead!
  • We understand the annoyance of sifting through empty corpses. The corpse summoner gump will only display corpses that contain more than one item. This means no more wasted time on empty loot!
• The concept of “pure mages” had long been overshadowed by other character builds, NOT on UOAlive!!! They are now extremely potent additions to adventuring parties due to their spells and supportive abilities.

Introducing the Summoner Class, aimed to revitalize the mage/mystic archetype by enhancing the summoning system. Introducing new, diverse summons, such as rideable polar bears, powerful dragons, and even hoards of pixies! Players can enjoy a more dynamic and strategic gameplay experience. These summons, although temporary, offer unique abilities akin to tamed creatures, allowing players to tailor their playstyle. With the Summoner Class, mage/mystic/Spellweavers gain newfound diversity and viability, offering an exciting alternative for players seeking a fresh magical experience on UOAlive, without fundamentally altering the core of the game.

Undead Commander classes (Hemomancer and Necroweaver)

The Undead Commander transforms into two formidable forms: the Hemomancer, a master of melee and ranged combat intertwined with necrotic arts, and the Necroweaver, a wielder of dark sorcery. Both commanding undead legions. Bound by lifeblood, they epitomize the sacrificial exchange defining their mystical being, shaping legends and instilling dread. We wanted to elevate the melee, paladin, archery, and overall just classes that are not sampire or tamer to elevate them up to the right level so players have more choice in how they play on UOAlive. We feel OSI dropped the ball by letting these other builds fall to the side of the "meta". We have determined this to be the most IMPACTFUL change we could make that brings a pure Paladin/Chivalry build toe to toe with Sampires, each with their different benefits and weaknesses. • Not able to get to your computer and need to get your champ spawn fix? Good news everybody! Mobile UO is Supported, so now you can get into the action anytime that you want to day or night.
• The enhanced client works for updated graphics as well as ClassicUO, Orion, Razor Enhanced, and UOSteam. Greater freedom to connect and play how you want to.
• Custom IDOC experience! Each IDOC is a mini-event in itself with instanced loot consisting of the house’s contents!!! More info here:

Crafting in the Blessed Britain Forge area in trammel will have a chance to reduce materials used by 25%! This should hopefully encourage crafters to hang out together a bit more, while rewarding you!.​

• Gold is account wide. Gone are the days where you would have to figure out who had the gold in their bank!
• Group Loot and Tiered Champion Spawns
• 1 Month = 1 year for Veteran Rewards! Great rewards for your time with UOAlive.
• Resource gathering in all facets is equal. There is no reason to not gather in Felucca or Trammel (well besides where your personal preference is)
• Tired of having to run to Twisted Weald? Those times are long past as you can recall, mark, and gate to and from Ilshenar!
• New Player dungeon located right next to New Haven bank! This dungeon is a part of our new player experience, introducing (or reintroducing) new and old players to some mechanics they may not know or have forgotten about.
• NPCs around the world will interact with you. Giving a more "living breathing world" feel that we always intended. Some will even react differently depending on your Karma and other factors.

• More helpful NPCs now roam New Haven and give actual useful information. More immersion, less Google! Scotty finally says helpful shit!​

• Custom Taming System!!! Want a bear? How about a bear that is a little beefier? Or how about a legendary Murder Bear!!! (Rare pets, rare spawns)!
• Unicorns and Kirins no longer have a preference in who can ride them!
• Self Healing formula retooled (2 second self heals after meeting or reaching dex stat) Stay in the fight longer!
• Your Health is always 25% more than OSI standards. So if you have 100 str normally you would have 100 health. But on UOAlive you have 125. This benefits PvE to reduce one hits and allow you to last longer in battles while maintaining balance.
• Gone are the messy and combustible potions! This item will be found at the Magincia Magical Stone Exchange. Bring your Armor, Shields, and Clothing here to Transmog them into the outfit of your dreams!

• With OSI style insurance you no longer have to worry about loosing your favorite pieces of equipment, just as long as you have the gold to pay the cost!
• Prefer to wear some beautiful Elven equipment even if you are not an elf? Well you can! At UOAlive we want everyone to look the way they want to.
• Just died and can't get back to your corpse? Visit the corpse summoners in Zento, New Haven, or Brit.
• Did your loyal companion perish ensuring you could get away? Treat them to renewed life with the pet resurrection stone that can be found in Zento, New Haven and Brit
  • These stones also will restore any loss from over capped pets!
• Get your lost pets back from dungeons, or horrible parenting, instead of doing the walk of shame. Lost and founds are located with pet rez stones.
• There is a chance to get a statue from any mob you kill, COLLECT THEM ALL!
• Scribes can create Spellbooks and Necromancy Spellbooks, as well as Necromancy scrolls with modifiers. Mysticism books too!
• Ever see a sweet looking chest while you are deep in a dungeon and open it to a plume of violent sneeze inducing dust ? Well here at UOAlive the loot gods have decided that dungeon chests should actually have loot in them!! What's even better than dungeon chests having loot? How about dungeon chests rares being increased!
• Players can double click any shield and target an enemy they wish to taunt. If the taunt is successful, the enemy will attack the player wielding the shield. Take care though, those that are not affected by bards will not be swayed!
• Combat not your speciality? Have more a green thumb? UOAlive has custom Plants and Trees along with a robust Flower and Plant Growing system. Cross Breeding, gardening, and more! You can even get "Dungeon Plants and Trees" from certain mobs in the game!

• Ride-able Triceratops now roams TerMur! This is a mixture of a Triceratops as you know it and a Cusidhe! And come-on who hasn't ever dreamed of riding a DINOSAUR!

• Added Rare and Legendary Variants of the Firesteed.

• Bane Dragons and Wildfire Ostards have been completely re-worked and now function like they do on OSI(except better). This should actually make these pets much more fun to utilize! You will need to tame new versions of these for them to have the new systems added!
• The stew they need to recharge has also been reduced GREATLY.

• Bond info has been enhanced with it's information making it a lot easier to see just how long till the bonding is done.

• The entire Animal Lore and Training gumps have been overhauled to meet the 20th century!
  Not only that, but it works in EVERY client, enhanced, normal, and classic UO, and it is localized!!!

• Adjustments to the taming lore gump to try to help avoid canceling training even more:

• Tsuki Wolves, a mesmerizing breed of three-headed werewolves with extraordinary speed and impressive abilities have been spotted in Tokuno. The rare versions sport colors that pay homage to to their habitat in the island's cold region while the legendary version exhibit demonic traits with darker coloring.

• The Phoenix Introducing the Rare Phoenix variants, each aligned with a master of positive karmic magic: Mysticism, Magery, and Spellweaving. These majestic creatures possess unique attributes and over capped amplifiers, expanding the realm of new build possibilities within each mastery.

• Swamp Dragons are so 2008! Ride into battel with style with The Battle Ostard! These Ostards arn't bothered with heavy objects meaning they are Bardable! They like to roam around in Termur!

• All Bard-able creatures are now IDENTICAL in stats. So pick the one you like the look of, not the stats!
• Here at UOAlive mystical forces have changed how monsters and pets use magic! Necromages will actually try and summon vengeful spirits, magery pets actually cast fireball now, and buffs and curses are actually used! Magically inclined monsters and pets also will take into consideration any debuffs on its target, for example a necromage may choose to cast a fire based spell on something affected with corpse skin.
  • With this change UO-CAH is no longer accurate in describing pet spellcasting capabilities

• Message Boards will now change colors to let you know of any new messages on them.

• Added a confirmation gump for Retrieve and Relocate on the left click house options. (You cannot opt out of this. It has caused many players to lose items, and many help tickets to be created. We want to make sure all players have this to avoid the headaches of losing items in the future!)

• Added the ability to LEFT CLICK any DYE tub and RESET the hue to the natural hue I.E. 0 if you want to reset any colors you dyed with a tub without buying a new one.​

Secondary skills are skills that do not count towards your 720 skill point cap.​

Please note that due to Lumberjacking being a free skill here at UOAlive, the associated damage bonus it conveyed on OSI does not exist here.​

• Mark Scrolls require NO magic ability to use! So get some scrolls and enjoy marking your way around the world for free!
• Bards have new items available via the Monty Python Questline on UOAlive to help enhance their experience and give them a boost in power they needed.

• The PURE Bard adjustment

Mastery Switching is now reduced to 3 minutes for Bards. This means if you have the following skills: Musicianship, Discordance, Peacemaking, and Provocation.​

Without the skills above​

• Bard songs will no longer drain your durability when not in combat.
  • Normalized the chance of item decay for spells / songs with upkeep.
  • Bard songs will no longer drain your durability when not in combat
• You can gain Spellweaving bonuses without needing other players at any arcane circle! Gone are the days of having to wait for other Spellweavers! There is a convenient arcane circle located right in front of Brit Bank as well!!

• A major change was done to Mages/Mystics to give pure mage builds a major buff since OSI kind of forgot about them. There are SO many options available to you now to not have to be a "sampire" or "tamer" for end game. Check out the patch notes here:

• Here at UOAlive we have made some changes to the Hiding skill. You can now hide up to 6 tiles from the target with 120 in the skill. Also now that you can take the Hiding skill up to 120 with a power scroll (which now have the ability to drop from champion spawns and as event power scrolls) you do have the chance to fail at 100.
  • At 100 skill:
    • Chance of success: 83.33% Chance of failure: 16.67%
  • At 105 skill:
    • Chance of success: 87.50% Chance of failure: 12.50%
  • At 110 skill:
    • Chance of success: 91.67% Chance of failure: 8.33%
  • At 115 skill:
    • Chance of success: 95.83% Chance of failure: 4.17%
  • At 120 skill:
    • Chance of success: 100% Chance of failure: 0%
• Gift of Renewal now has a chance to cure poisons. (roughly halfway between Cure/Arch Cure; arcane circle improves chances)
• Bandage Healing
  • Prior max speed for self healing was 4 seconds with around 140ish dex.
• Self healing formula has been changed to that of the healing other players formula (max speed of 2 seconds).
• Formula for dex required to reach this max of 2 seconds has been changed as well.
• There will no longer be stamina loss in towns for shoving through other players/npcs. This includes HEARTWOOD With all the little birdies!
  • Increased spawn percentage of Heartwood mushrooms.
  • Brought back the Heartwood Birdies!
• Are you tired of being body blocked on Recall and Gate Travel? Is someone intentionally or unintentionally blocking the rune library? NO MORE! Body Blocking has been removed from recalling and gate travel.

Dungeons/Locations​

• You can still get the Virtue for killing "reds" by visiting Ocllo and Bucs den, for roaming NPC(non player character) Murderers.
• Paragons will spawn in all facets including Malas and Termur
• A new New Player Dungeon was created in New Haven(we really want to hammer home the new player experience and make it as educational and accessible as possible!). No more "mines" as a dungeon. This has wings, progression, and a much more distinct feel to get players used to what they are going to go up against!

• Non-young players can still finish quests in Haven.
• Magincia Stone Exchange

• Introducing the Britain Golden Horse Casino! Fancy trying your hand at some slots? Or perhaps after a long day of killing demons, you and your companions can sit at the table and play some cards!

• Added a sign to TerMur's City to point players in the direction of the quest giver for the Abyss.

• Champ Spawns Reworked! They will stay up for 2 hours. If you cannot complete it in that time, it will reset. This will add a new challenge and urgency to the spawn as well as reducing timer and mobile checks. The cooldowns on all champs are now 90 minutes. We have made some adjustments to the spawn radius of Terrathan Keep as it was a little small and we have moved Hopper Bog south so it is in a better location.
• We felt Zento needed a breadth of fresh air!
  To that effect we're introducing Training Dummies that will help you train any melee combat skill up to 90, same as a new player token! (It also fits the theme more!)
  A new reason to visit this amazing blessed city and when you finish head on over to the Blessed Three Stone Tavern for a drink and to trade tales!

• Zento Dye tubs will be removed. However, don't worry—Monthly hues will still be available in New Haven.
• Additionally, we have added Training Dummy Pits.
  
  • This is for personal Testing Only.
  • You will find different types of dummies such as 100% physical resist or 100% fire. Etc.
  • Only YOU can see your statistics provided by the dummies.

Economy/Items​

• INSTANCED LOOT for ALL PLAYERS!
• Gold is account-wide.
• Group Loot and Tiered Champion Spawns
• Resource gathering in all facets is equal. There is no reason to not gather in Felucca or Trammel.
• Dropping gold coins in your bank box adds them to your account's balance. To pull out gold, use the "withdraw <amount>" command at a bankteller.
• To trade gold you can just type the amount anywhere in the world in a trade window:

• Vendors no longer drop gold or items to the ground. And if they do YOU WILL KNOW!
  • When buying items, if you can't hold them in your backpack, it tries to send them to the bank. If there's no space in the bank, it sends them to your feet and uses RED font to tell you about it, plus the item by your feet shows a message. (Don't want them to miss it!)
  • When selling items, the funds get deposited straight to the bank. They see a message that the gold was deposited to their account.
• Using an equipped Skinning Knife on a corpse will automatically cut and loot any hides the corpse may drop.
• There are special trash barrels and bags available near Brit West Bank. These generate special currency used for certain rewards.

The addition of the storage boxes to UOAlive is an amazing improvement for Quality of Life.​

Those that regularly do crafting and imbuing will find these particularly useful.​

There are a range of different boxes available to store categories of items, some are sorted by resource type, others by expansions. Over 12 Total!​

All Boxes can be retrieved from Locked Down location in your house, moved to another house, re-secured and will still contain all contents!​

• Treasure maps currently use the era-accurate positioning system, but drop the enhanced loot introduced in a later publish.

Added crafting recipes to Cache & above t-map chests on a very random drop (all facets). None of the rare or Doom recipe drops are included.​

1 runic or recipe will be dropped in a treasure bag (a 2nd gem bag simply renamed as Treasure Bag).​

The Runics & Recipes only drop with the Artisan maps.​

Scrolls of Transcendence & alacrity scrolls now drop in Cache t-map chests (all facets) which reduces the odds of getting nothing but power scrolls.​

Each t-map chest Cache & above will all have a chance of dropping a combination of SOT's, Alacrity, Power Scrolls and the occasional t-map, Trove being the exception on the T-map dropping.​

Overall gold has been decreased to make room for these higher end items.​

• Treasure Chests will now despawn after 1 hour instead of 3 and any map that is under a home or inaccessible should reset within 24 hours after decoding.
• All Undead Slayer weapons have had their name changed to "Silver"
• Leather Dye tub will now work on Orc Masks
• Pet Dye tub (renamed from mount) is able to dye all creatures.
• Decorative guild stones can be dyed with the furniture dye tub

• Custom Bard Items have been added "Sash of the Calm Soul, Cloak of Chaos, and Boots of Enfeeblement", you can get this set from the Monty Python Quest Stone as a new option for quest rewards! (You will need 100 Musicianship to equip these items
• Conjurer's Grimoire, Garb, and Trinket have been added to the CUB points system. We will be utilizing this system to add more items in the future as well. It is a fantastic way to reward your play time while benefiting the server as a whole..(hoarders)...

• Orcish Kin Masks no longer disappear on Aggressive action toward Orcs. Still will receive Extra Damage.

  • If account owner owns the stone no action is taken.
  • If account owner doesn't own stone and stone is empty charge 100 sovs and resets and rebinds stone.
  • If account owner doesn't own stone and stone has skills charge 100 Sovs and resets and rebinds stone.

• Pad of Cusidhe now have new functionality:
  • Pads of Cusidhe Make it so the Cusidhe do not aggro on you
  • Attacking a Cusidhe with the Pads on will but them in your pack and cause a lot of damage to you as a plater make you aggro-able again.
  • Pads of the Cusidhe allow you to walk without any Quick Sand effect through the Twisted Weald Area.

Vendors/Vendor Search​

• Vendor Search can only be used in your own home or within a guarded part of town.
• New Vendor Search Capabilities

• Commodities: Lists raw materials and Commodity Deeds
• Crafting: Crafted items & Bulk Order Deeds
• Recipes: Recipes by skill type.
• Bundles: Shows all bags with items in them. ie. Bags with a LRC suit will show up here! Create your bundles now!
• Pets: Search by slots, bond status and a number of other values.
• Built in filters for Power, Stat, Transcendence & Alacrity Scrolls, Treasure Maps and Containers!
• Search Mode for vendor search so you can specific whether it's for items or pets.
• Added button next to Item Name that allows you to click an item in your inventory to populate the name criteria text box. This will also automatically change your Search Mode depending on the item type.
• Vendor Search looks at Vendor Item Descriptions as well.
• Ability to search by weapon type
• Price Per Unit value for anything stackable. See what the best deal is!

• Added a new Pet Results window to show you a summary of pets and their bond status.

• Even more Vendor Search features:

This will bring up the new Ledger of your last 25 sales with the buyer, sell price, list date, and sell date!Drag over the Item on the left to get your Description of the item you wrote when putting it on your vendor as well as item details.​

• You will now be shown Bond Info on shrunken pets on vendor search.
  • You can also use [bondinfo on a shrunken pet.
• Friends and Co-Owners can now place vendors in another players home. Bring on the Vendor Malls!
  • Vendors can now be accessed & managed by any character on the same account that placed it.
  • You can now place vendors at houses that you are a co-owner or friend of.

NOTE: Owners and Co-owners of the home will have limited access to manage vendors on the property and will otherwise act like normal vendors you don't own.(see image below). Friends will have access to their vendor only.

• added "Price" context menu to player vendors so that owners can change the price/description (left click)

• added warning if trying to collect ALL of a vendor's held gold
• Added extra protection methods for vendors if Demolishing, Resizing, or Changing a House. It will now prevent any of those actions if you do not remove the vendors first.

Crafting​

• You can craft bags as a tailor in any color cloth you wish!
  
• Skinning knife puts leather directly in your bag, more time slaughtering less dragging.
• Salvage Bags are available for sale from Provisioners.
• You can purchase a Bod Box from the gold sink vendor that will fill a Large Bod for you automatically with the needed smalls. All bods still need to be filled with the items. But it skips the step of hunting for all the rare bods.

• Bod Banking Changes
  • Large Bods can be banked for 50% of their points now
  • Small Bods can be banked for 5% of their points now
• Tiered Cake and normal cake can be Dyed and the slices retain the dye. They also can be engraved for that special touch!
• A New NPC Quest giver located in Eodon to acquire tiger pelt armor recipes He will ask you to bring him 25 leather pieces and 5 tiger pelts. Depending on your tailoring skill (Skill required to craft tiger pelt armor) your chance of getting a recipe is increased.
• Runic Reforging now works closer to OSI! Overall this makes runic reforging a lot less painful! Get ready for more precise and powerful reforging!
  • When you select two affixes for your reforging, you can now rest assured that your modifiers will be selected from the combined properties of both, giving you a more targeted and powerful set of upgrades. Say goodbye to the frustration of getting modifiers that don't quite fit and hello to gear that's tailor-made for your needs. Get out there and start crafting!
  • The Runic Amounts of mods have been adjusted to match OSI compared to ServUO for Tailoring (Spined, Horned, Barbed), Blacksmithing (Dull Copper, Shadow, Copper, Bronze, Golden, Agapite, Verite, Valorite), and Carpentry/Bowcrafting (Oak, Ash, Yew, Heartwood). This will make your reforging experiences SO MUCH nicer.
  • Runic Reforging Low end and High end have been adjusted to be more in line with OSI, giving yet another buff overall to reforging!
• Whip Recipes can now be gotten from Tinker BOD Rewards. These include:
  • Spiked Whip Recipe
  • Bladed Whip Recipe
  • Barbed Whip Recipe
• Changed the Dried Herbs for Fresh Seasoning to an extra Salt.
