Anatomy in Ultima Online
Anatomy plays several important roles in Ultima Online:
Active Use
- Strength and Dexterity Check: You can actively check the Strength and Dexterity of other players, animals, or monsters.
- Examples of messages received:
- "Rather feeble" (1-10 Strength)
- "Very clumsy" (1-10 Dexterity)
- "One of the strongest people you have ever seen" (81-90 Strength)
- "One of the fastest people you have ever seen" (81-90 Dexterity)

Passive Benefits
- Combat Damage: Passively increases the damage dealt in combat. The damage bonus percentage increases with higher Anatomy skill levels.
- Example:
- 10 Anatomy gives a 5% damage bonus.
- 100 Anatomy gives a 55% damage bonus.
- Example:
- Healing: Enhances the amount healed when using the Healing skill.
- Healing bonus percentage = Anatomy / 6.
Defensive Ability
- Evasion: Increases the chance to dodge blows in empty-handed combat when combined with Evaluate Intelligence.
- Requires Anatomy of 100.0 or higher for a bonus to Evasion.
Training
- Active Training: Use the skill button or macro and target creatures other than yourself.
- Passive Training: Each successful hit with a weapon or fists has a chance to increase Anatomy. Also gained passively when using the Healing skill.
New Player Quests
- In New Haven, completing quests can accelerate Anatomy skill gain up to 50 points and earn the Tunic of Guarding.
