🛠️ End of Life for MobileUO & the Future 🚀

With the latest updates from [OSI], we remain committed to staying current. However, bringing our version in line with these updates—which would enable exciting enhancements like improved housing customization in ClassicUO—would come at a significant cost: the loss of support for MobileUO until someone develops a compatible version.

Unfortunately, MobileUO has effectively reached its end of life, having gone months without active development. Unless a member of the community steps forward to fork the project and continue its development (which would take considerable time), MobileUO will remain unsupported.

Meanwhile, ClassicUO continues to advance rapidly. Thanks to its collaboration with OSI, it will now support the latest OSI version, incorporating new art, assets, and features that many of us are eager to use—such as the ClassicUOWebClient!

Some of the improvements coming with ClassicUO include:

• 🏡 The long-awaited, improved house editor
• 🎨 New art and assets
• 🐾 New creatures and mobs
• ⚙️ Ongoing quality-of-life enhancements

Despite our deep appreciation for what MobileUO has brought to the community, the reality is clear: the original developer is no longer maintaining it. ClassicUO, on the other hand, is thriving and introducing features that align with our long-term vision.

💔 With a heavy heart, we bid farewell to MobileUO and thank it for the joy and accessibility it has provided. We wish circumstances were different, but this step is necessary to keep moving forward. Together, we can ensure that our community continues to thrive and innovate.💔

High Seas Fishing Quests Patch Notes

Expanded Reward Tiers

• Increased the number of reward tiers from 4 to 6 for more nuanced progression.
• Adjusted difficulty and reputation thresholds to accommodate tiers 5 and 6.

More Varied Rewards

• Added more hooks (Lava Hook, Dredging Hook, JunkProof Hook) into higher-tier categories to reduce the frequency of receiving books.
• Reduced the number of books at higher tiers to ensure a better balance of rewards.
• Ensured bait is present in multiple tiers, improving the likelihood of receiving bait rewards at all levels of gameplay.
• Introduced additional variety in top-tier reward categories, diluting the chance of getting permanent boat paint too frequently.

Random Tier Chance

• Implemented a 5% chance that players receive rewards from a completely random tier, adding an element of surprise and RNG to the experience.

Adjusted Power Scroll Rarity

• Increased the likelihood of “degrading” high-level Power Scroll rewards, making 120 Fishing Power Scrolls more challenging to obtain.
• Tier-based degrade logic ensures that Power Scrolls drop to a lower tier unless the player is exceptionally lucky.

Category Selection Improvements

• Changed the reward selection logic so each tier’s reward comes from a random category, rather than always picking from the same category per tier.
• This ensures a greater diversity of items, including bait, hooks, and unique gear, across all tiers.

General Balancing and Polish

• Adjusted bait tiers and enhanced bait chances to reflect higher-level achievement.
• Fine-tuned thresholds and probabilities based on internal testing and feedback to provide a more rewarding, balanced, and engaging fishing quest experience overall.

Reputation Status Changes

• Adjusted the reputation status thresholds to add more granularity at higher reputation levels.

• Candied Staff Cliloc (The translation of the name fixed from saying Minion Earrings)
• Hitching Ropes will be sold at the Magincia Magical Stone Exchange

• Added Internal tools for some stuff and things for drops.
