Snooping

Snooping in Ultima Online

Snooping is a skill used primarily for observing the contents of containers and NPCs' belongings in Ultima Online. It allows players to view the contents of:

• Pack Horses
• Pack Llamas
• NPC backpacks

To use Snooping, stand within one tile of the target and double-click their backpack. Success allows you to see inside as if it were your own backpack. Failure may alert nearby players and, if hidden, could reveal your presence. Higher Snooping skill reduces detection chances.

Training Snooping

• Training in Trammel: Visit busy areas with pack animals or NPCs outside guard zones. Double-click the target's backpack to practice.
• Training in Felucca: Similar to Trammel, but more opportunities are available with NPCs in towns or hired NPCs who remain stationary.

Snooping is useful for gathering information and is often a prerequisite for the Stealing skill. It does not flag you as a criminal but may lower your karma. There is no cooldown, allowing for rapid skill gain.
