Stats in Ultima Online
Definition: Stats, short for statistics, refer to the three primary attributes each character possesses to varying degrees:
- Strength: Determines carrying capacity, melee damage, and Hit Points.
- Dexterity: Affects Stamina and is crucial for skills like Snooping and Parrying.
- Intelligence: Governs Mana capacity and influences skills such as Magery.
Stat Locks & Caps: On the Character Status Menu, yellow arrows indicate whether a stat will increase, decrease, or remain unchanged. Each stat has a natural cap of 125 points, extendable to 150 with items. The combined total of natural stats plus bonuses cannot exceed 260.
Gaining Stats: Stats can be increased through skill advancement. Primary stats associated with skills increase 75% of the time when both are unlocked; otherwise, the secondary stat increases. There's a 1 in 20 chance of a stat gain per skill advancement.
Caps: If your account is at or over 6 months and you have used a Scroll of Valiant Commendation, then your cap is 260 (225 base + 5 veteran reward + 5 Scroll of Valiant Commendation + 25 scroll of power). Otherwise it is 250 (225 base + 25 scroll of power).
